Letter to my 18yr old self
So it's your 18th Birthday and there's a few things I want to discuss. First off, choose a quick 2 years at City Tech as a Liberal Arts Major then transfer to Brooklyn College to get your BBA in Business Marketing. You're pretty good at the radio thing with Tiffany and Selector Sean....it's ok to try and get into that field.
Also don't be afraid of rejection and failure, these things happen and it won't kill you. You just had your first heartbreak, I promise you every situation won't end like that so loosen up. You don't have to play "super nice guy" in order for women to like you more just be yourself. The people who care about believe in you, so start believing in yourself. Tell Kay you wanna be with her before she starts dating the Trey Songz lookin dude. If you stop overthinking you'll get wayyyy more p***y. Take your time with CB, she requires a lot of patience and understanding.
While Spirit Cruises is fun, leave after 3-4 years. INTERN SOMEWHERE so you can build connections and gain experience in the marketing field. Lose weight and keep it off. Something bigger than AOL/AIM is coming so just be ready.
I understand you want to support your local businesses but buy sneakers from stores other than Sneaker Corner and Get Set, you'll build more relationships that way. You don't need to feel like you have to prove yourself by buying every single sneaker you want. People know you love sneakers so don't pressure yourself into having to "keep up" by getting everything and also getting it before everyone. Put some money aside and invest in Nike. Work on your sneaker documentary, it won't be anything like just for kicks.
Your friends got love for you and care about you so STOP being DEFENSIVE towards them. Approach every woman you want, just do is with respect and if she stu's you keep it moving. Don't psych yourself out, women breathe the same air as you. You don't get to meet new people by staying in on the weekends, go out and live a little. A lot of women like you believe it or not so just play it cool, relax, and they'll be yours. Be more confident trust me they notice. Be more of a brother to your sister than a father.
